Lecturer in Beauty and Applied Therapies

Candidates will be required to carry out a full range of teaching duties and administration associated with the delivery and management of Student learning programmes.

This is a temporary position for up to 16.5 hours per week based in Newtown

The distribution of hours is as expected to be as follows but may be subject to change:

• Tuesday                    9.00-12.00 / 13.00-16.00          School links – Beauty      6 hours
• Thursday                  9.00-12.00 / 13.00-16.00         School links – Beauty      5.5 hours
• Friday                        9.00-12.00 / 13.00-15.00         Level 2 – Beauty               5 hours

Candidates should possess a level 3 qualification (e.g. NVQ in Beauty/Applied Therapies or equivalent) or in a relevant discipline, have relevant industrial experience and hold a teaching qualification. You should also hold a level 2 qualification in Maths and English (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT literate equivalent to level 2.  Assessor/Verifier Awards would be advantageous.

• Candidates must hold a enhanced DBS (on the update list) and must be registered with the EWC as Lecturer in Further Education.
